Boys’ Basketball Takes Downs 4-Time Reigning TRAC Champion Lima Senior, 67-61

The Central Catholic boys’ basketball team captured a 67-61 victory against 4-time reigning Three Rivers Athletic Conference champion Lima Senior on Friday in the Sullivan Center. With the home win, CCHS improves to 8-1 overall, 4-0 in the league.

In a battle for 1st place in the TRAC, the Fighting Irish outscored the Spartans by 8 points over the final 3 quarters to help them extend their winning streak to 8-consecutive games.

Senior Michael Greenlee Jr. led the Scarlet & Gray with a game-high 16 points, followed closely by junior Isaiah Brenneman with 15.

Brandon Moore paced the Spartans (4-3, 2-3 TRAC) with 15 points, while Anthony Mosley tallied 13.

Earlier in the evening, the CCHS freshman squad secured a 41-39 win against Lima Senior, while the junior varsity team claimed a 46-33 victory.  

Central Catholic will return to the hardwood versus TRAC preseason favorite Whitmer on Tuesday, Jan. 10. The opening tip vs. the Panthers is slated for 7:30 pm in the Whitmer Field House. Tickets for Tuesday’s matchup MUST be pre-purchased online at https://bit.ly/3CwDEiM.
