Boys’ Basketball Utilizes Strong 4th Quarter to Defeat Detroit Martin Luther King, 56-51
The Central Catholic boys’ basketball team secured a 56-51 come-from-behind victory against Detroit Martin Luther King on Tuesday in the Sullivan Center. With the non-conference win, CCHS improves to 7-14 on the season.
The Fighting Irish outscored the visiting Crusades 20-11 in the pivotal 4th quarter to help them snap a 6-game losing skid.
Sophomore Draden Wardrop paced the Scarlet & Gray with 19 points, followed closely by freshman Isaiah Mack-Russell with 17 points, a squad-best 7 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Steven Jones and Terrence Jones led MLK with 16 points each.
