Boys’ Basketball Emerges Victorious vs. Trotwood-Madison, 70-57

The Central Catholic boys’ basketball team concluded the 2021 calendar year in fine fashion, registering a 70-57 victory against Trotwood-Madison on Thursday in the Sullivan Center. With the impressive non-conference win, CCHS improves to 8-1 on the season.

Junior Chico Johnson led a balanced Fighting Irish attack with a contest-tying best 18 points. Senior Micah Thames and freshman Makhi Leach added 13 points each, while junior Michael Greenlee, Jr., had 12.

Timothy Carpenter paced the visiting Rams with a game-tying high 18 points.

Earlier in the evening, the CCHS Junior Varsity squad tallied a resounding 53-32 win against the Warriors.

Central Catholic will return to the hardwood against Fremont Ross on Tuesday, Jan. 4 at home. Freshman will start things off at 4:45 pm on Cherry Street, followed by Junior Varsity at 6 pm and the Varsity will tip off at 7:30 pm.
