Fifteen Baseball Players Collect Academic All-TRAC Recognition

Fifteen members of the Central Catholic baseball team have been named to the Academic All-Three Rivers Athletic squad, the league office recently announced.

Senior Jack Bremer, senior Kavan Case, senior Richard Gray III, senior Nickolas Keck, senior Aaron Parker, senior Jace Sanchez, junior Brian Bishop, junior Winston Delp, junior Grant Haupricht, junior Cody Markus, junior Grant Tefft, junior Brayden Tressler, junior Brandon Wells, sophomore Austin Guerra, and sophomore Jaxon Sanchez were each selected to the conference’s all-academic squad. The quintet of Gray, Markus, Parker, Jace Sanchez and Tressler are garnering academic all-league recognition for the second-straight year.

The Academic All-TRAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have lettered and maintained at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Freshmen are not eligible for this postseason award.

This spring, the Fighting Irish posted a 10-17 overall record, 4-10 in the TRAC. Individually, Bishop and Guerra were picked first-team All-TRAC, senior A.J. Parker was tabbed to the second team, and Jace Sanchez, Jaxon Sanchez and Gray earned honorable mention honors.
