Get to Know CCHS Staffulty Member - Hannah Bluhm, ‘17
- What subjects and grade levels do you teach?
I teach Intro. to Sociology, Intro. to Psychology, and AP Psychology. The classes range from freshmen to seniors.
- What is your educational background?
In May of 2022, I graduated from The University of Toledo with a bachelor's degree in young adult and adolescent education. My concentration was in social studies. Go Rockets!!!
- What inspired you to become a teacher?
Growing up, I’ve always had jobs or volunteer experiences that involved helping kids. I’ve worked at summer camps, at sixth grade camp as a counselor, and I helped run the St. Patrick of Heatherdowns musicals for eight years. I like helping people succeed, whether it's in school or everyday life.
- What made you want to teach at Central Catholic?
I loved the idea of coming back to my alma mater to teach. The environment and community is unmatched here. I was living down in Florida before coming back to CCHS, and I have been telling everyone that the only reason I returned was because of Central Catholic and the great spirit of the school.
- What are your hobbies or special interests?
Outside of work I like to read and watch movies. I love all things Disney and can talk about it for hours. I can also be found at the CCHS volleyball games because my sister is on the junior varsity team.
- Feel free to add anything else you’d like to include so we can get to know you better!
Over the summer, I was down in Orlando working at Walt Disney World. I was taking part in their Disney College Program working at the attraction Flight of Passage.
