I teach Spanish to grades 9-12.
- What is your educational background?
For high school, I went to a boarding school called Mercersburg Academy in Mercersburg, PA. I have an undergraduate degree in biology/pre-physical therapy from Tusculum College in Greeneville, TN. For graduate school, I went to the Medical University of Ohio (MUO), which eventually became University of Toledo, and earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.
- What inspired you to become a teacher?
I became a teacher because it provides me the opportunity to have an impact in the lives of my students. Even though the work as a teacher can be very demanding at times, the rewards can be immeasurable.
- What made you want to teach at Central Catholic?
My love and gratitude towards Central Catholic led me to teach here. My brother attended CCHS, and the impact that it had in his formative years was just incredible. The family atmosphere and school spirit are like no other.
- What are your hobbies or special interests?
I played tennis in college, and I still enjoy playing for fun over the summer as well as playing golf. My husband, Jesse, used to coach tennis and golf at Central Catholic years ago. My son, Sebastian, will be attending CCHS next year as a freshman. I also have a 10-year-old daughter, Sofia, and a 6-year-old son, Nicolas.
