Girls’ Basketball Falls to Notre Dame Academy in Division III District Finals, 60-22

The Central Catholic girls' basketball team suffered a 60-22 loss against rival Notre Dame Academy in the Division III District Finals on Saturday at Northwood High School.  With the setback, CCHS wraps up the season with an 8-16 overall record.

The No. 5 seed Fighting Irish, who were appearing in the District Finals for the 2nd-straight year, were limited to 7 points over the final 3 quarters against the No. 1 seed Arrows. 

Junior Marissa Justen and freshman Maeley Bragg paced the Scarlet & Gray with 7 points each.

Brooklyn Armstead led NDA with a game-high 15 points on the strength of 5 triples, followed by Joi Battle with 10 points.

Saturday's postseason contest was the final game for senior captain Paris Waites.
