Girls’ Basketball Hammers Trotwood-Madison in Non-League Contest, 61-21

The Central Catholic girls’ basketball team tallied a dominating 61-21 win against Trotwood-Madison on Monday in the Sullivan Center. With the impressive home triumph, CCHS improves to 13-0 on the season.

Senior Brinn Hunt and sophomore Brooklyn Vaughn paced the unbeaten Fighting Irish with 15 and 14 points, respectively. The Scarlet & Gray also benefitted from 12 points by junior Mary Ellis in its final non-conference home game.

Nyha Chambers led the Rams with 12 points.

The junior varsity contest between CCHS and Trotwood-Madison was canceled.

Central Catholic will return to the hardwood vs. Three Rivers Athletic Conference foe Findlay on Thursday, Jan. 20. Junior varsity will get the action started against the Trojans at 6 pm at Findlay High School, followed by the varsity at 7:30 pm. Earlier the season, the Fighting Irish secured an impressive 42-25 home win vs. Findlay on Dec. 2.
