Girls’ Basketball Runs Away from Trotwood-Madison in Non-League Matchup on Road, 66-26
The Central Catholic girls’ basketball team secured a 66-26 victory against Trotwood-Madison on Saturday in the Gym @ Trotwood-Madison. With the dominating non-conference triumph, CCHS improves to 19-2 overall.
Ranked No. 2 in the Division II state poll for the 3rd-straight week, the Fighting Irish were paced by junior Corniya Clay with a game-high 20 points.
Junior Brooklyn Vaughn contributed 10 points, a contest-best 19 rebounds, and eight assists to post another double-double, while senior Jai’Lynne Hitt-Swartz tallied 15 points.
Raeven Raye-Redmond led the host Rams with 17 points.
Earlier in the afternoon, the CCHS junior varsity squad claimed a 61-21 road victory against Trotwood-Madison.
Central Catholic returns to the hardwood against rival Whitmer on Thursday, Feb. 9. The opening tip versus the Panthers is scheduled for 7:30 pm at the Whitmer Field House.
