Girls’ Swimming & Diving Finishes in 6th Place at TRAC Championship

The Central Catholic girls’ swimming & diving team finished in 6th place at the Three Rivers Athletic Conference Championship over the weekend at the Hawk-Bucci Natatorium. Despite having only 5 student-athletes on the roster, the Fighting Irish tallied 80 points at the 2-day event on the campus of Fremont Ross High School.

Individually, sophomore Jordan Traver broke the school record in the 100-yard free (1:03.92, 10th), while classmate Celina Winfield-White shattered the mark in the 100-yard fly (1:33.76, 12th).

In the relays, the foursome of sophomore Addison Brinkman, sophomore Addison Winkler, Traver, and Winfield-White broke the school record in the 200-yard medley (2:13.58, 8th).

The Fighting Irish return to the pool team for the Toledo Invitational on Thursday, Jan. 26. CCHS will compete against St. Francis de Sales, St. Ursula Academy, Whitmer, Ottawa Hills, and NOCA at "The Pit", beginning at 6 pm. Tickets MUST be purchased online at bit.ly/3Df37xC ($5).
