Irish Dance Team Qualifies for State Championships in Pair of Dances

The Central Catholic Irish Dance Team has qualified in 2 dances for the 2024 OASSA State Cheer & Dance Championships. IDT advanced in the categories of Small Jazz and Large Hip-Hop for the state championships on Sunday, January 28 at Heath High School.

In addition, IDT is up for “Best Hip Hop Choreography” at this month’s state competition.

A season ago, IDT secured its 5th state crown in 6 years in Hip-Hop. They claimed 3-straight state championships in 2018, 2019 and 2020 (Large), as well as in 2022.

The Scarlet & Gray also finished 3rd in Small Jazz competition and claimed the “Best Sportsmanship Award” voted on by other teams and coaches.
