Morgan Delp Transitions to Role of Principal at Central Catholic

Morgan Delp, previously the Dean of Academics at Central Catholic High School, will transition into the role of Principal with the start of the new school year.

“Morgan is an outstanding leader who has shown an amazing work ethic and commitment to the students, faculty, and staff of Central Catholic High School,” said Kevin Parkins, Central Catholic’s Head of School.  “I am confident that she will bring the same energy and dedication to her expanded role as we continue to form disciples who desire to be lifelong learners."

Morgan is a 2011 graduate of Central Catholic.  She studied history and journalism at Hillsdale College in Michigan.  After graduating from Hillsdale in 2015, she returned to Central Catholic to teach history and journalism for four years.  During that time, she also taught in the school’s student success program, tutored privately for the ACT, advised the National Honor Society, oversaw Central Catholic’s social media accounts, and was an assistant coach for the girls’ tennis team.

Morgan left Central Catholic in 2019 to pursue a master's degree in nonprofit administration from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, where she was named valedictorian of her program.  She returned to CCHS in the summer of 2020 and began serving as the Dean of Academics.  In that role, she worked with teachers, scheduling, testing, student success, college and career advising, and navigating distance and online learning for the first time.

“Our teachers, staff, and Head of School could not have been more supportive of and dedicated to our students and families during this time, and ever since, as we have been able to transition to a more ‘normal’ environment,” Delp said.  “I am so proud to serve at a place that continuously strives for excellence amidst all obstacles.”

In this transition to Principal, much of her role will stay the same, as her work with curriculum, teaching, and student success will continue to blend with her involvement in the school's daily operations.  “I look forward to serving at Central Catholic in a way that allows our Head of School to more fully engage with our alumni and the community on a daily basis,” explained Delp.  “I’m also really excited to continue to work with and be inspired by our incredible students (the best in Toledo!), along with serving their parents and families.  Our teachers and staff are the best in the business, and I’m so grateful to God and continuously humbled by the opportunity to work at a place that improves students' lives each day.  To be a part of the CCHS family is the joy of my life.”
