Preston Fryzel Earns 2nd-Team All-Ohio Recognition

Central Catholic baseball player Preston Fryzel has been named Division II 2nd-team All-Ohio, according to the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association (OHSBCA).

A sophomore 1B/RHP, Fryzel batted .373 (25-of-67) with 15 runs scored, 1 home run, 17 RBI, and 7 stolen bases during the spring.  He also tallied a 2-3 mark with a 2.68 ERA on the mound, giving up 17 runs (13 earned runs) on 27 hits with 31 strikeouts in 34.0 innings.

A 2024 CHSL All-League honoree, Fryzel becomes the 4th player in the baseball program to receive all-state recognition in the last 6 years.  Jaxon Sanchez was selected honorable mention All-Ohio in 2023, Wilson Stopera was chosen 2nd-team in 2021, and Jase Bowen was picked 1st-team in 2019.
