Boys’ Basketball Falls Short vs. Rossford in Division II District Finals, 48-34

The Central Catholic boys’ basketball team suffered a 48-34 loss against Rossford on Saturday in the Division II District Finals at Lake High School. With the setback, the Fighting Irish end the season with a 20-5 overall record.

Sophomore Makhi Leach led the No. 1 seed Fighting Irish with 12 points and 7 rebounds.

Brenden Revels paced the No. 2 seed Bulldogs with a game-high 20 points and 7 rebounds, while Derek Vorst had 12 points and a team-high 10 caroms.

Saturday’s game marked the final contest for CCHS’s 6-member senior class – Brian Bishop, Ty’Waun Clark, Michael Greenlee Jr., Chico Johnson, Kechan Johnson Jr., and Noah Langford. This group won at least 20 games each of the last 2 years and helped CCHS claim a share of the 2022-23 Three Rivers Athletic Conference championship.
