Wrestling Participates in CHSL Championship

The Central Catholic wrestling team participated in the Catholic High School League Championship on Saturday at Divine Child High School.  CCHS finished in 7th place with 78 points amongst 14 schools at the 1-day meet.

Highlighting the Fighting Irish’s efforts were 3rd-place finishes by freshman Alexzander Guerra (113 pounds), junior Emilio Herrera (120 pounds), and junior Richone Brown, Jr. (175 pounds).  Herrera placed 3rd at the conference championship for the 2nd-straight year.

Central Catholic will return to the mat for a tri-meet vs. Start and Rogers on Thursday, February 8 at 6 p.m. at Start High School.
